Eligibility: Full time regular Bachelor’s of Business Administration (BBA) / Bachelor’s of Business Management (BBM) / Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) with Personnel Management /IR/HR/Labour Welfare as one of the major subjects from a recognized Indian University/ Institute and minimum 65 % marks or Equivalent CGPA in aggregate of all years/semesters (relaxable to 60 % for SC/ST candidates).
Post Qualification Experience(as on 01/08/2011): - Minimum Three years of Work experience in HR function in manufacturing Unit or Project Site of a Listed Company.

PHYSICS
The syllabus contains two Sections - A and B. Section - A pertains to the Theory Part having 80% weightage, while Section - B contains Practical Component (Experimental Skills) having 20% weightage.

SECTION – A
UNIT 1: PHYSICS AND MEASUREMENT Physics, technology and society, S I units, Fundamental and derived units. Least count, accuracy and precision of measuring instruments, Errors in measurement, Significant figures. Dimensions of Physical quantities, dimensional analysis and its applications.

UNIT 2: KINEMATICS Frame of reference. Motion in a straight line: Position-time graph, speed and velocity. Uniform and non-uniform motion, average speed and instantaneous velocity Uniformly accelerated motion, velocity-time, positiontime graphs, relations for uniformly accelerated motion. Scalars and Vectors, Vector addition and Subtraction, Zero Vector, Scalar and Vector products, Unit Vector, Resolution of a Vector. Relative Velocity, Motion in a plane, Projectile Motion, Uniform Circular Motion.

UNIT 3: LAWS OF MOTION Force and Inertia, Newton’s First Law of motion; Momentum, Newton’s Second Law of motion; Impulse; Newton’s Third Law of motion. Law of conservation of linear momentum and its applications, Equilibrium of concurrent forces. Static and Kinetic friction, laws of friction, rolling friction. Dynamics of uniform circular motion: Centripetal force and its applications.

UNIT 4: WORK, ENERGY AND POWER Work done by a constant force and a variable force; kinetic and potential energies, workenergy theorem, power.Potential energy of a spring, conservation of mechanical energy, conservative and nonconservative forces; Elastic and inelastic collisions in one and two dimensions.

UNIT 5: ROTATIONAL MOTION Centre of mass of a two-particle system, Centre of mass of a rigid body; Basic concepts of rotational motion; moment of a force, torque, angular momentum, conservation of angular momentum and its applications; moment of inertia, radius of gyration. Values of moments of inertia for simple geometrical objects, parallel and perpendicular axes theorems and their applications. Rigid body rotation, equations of rotational motion.

UNIT 6: GRAVITATION The universal law of gravitation. Acceleration due to gravity and its variation with altitude and depth. Kepler’s laws of planetary motion. Gravitational potential energy; gravitational potential. Escape velocity. Orbital velocity of a satellite. Geo-stationary satellites.

UNIT 7: PROPERTIES OF SOLIDS AND LIQUIDS Elastic behaviour, Stress-strain relationship, Hooke’s Law, Young’s modulus, bulk modulus, modulus of rigidity. Pressure due to a fluid column; Pascal’s law and its applications. Viscosity, Stokes’ law, terminal velocity, streamline and turbulent flow, Reynolds number. Bernoulli’s principle and its applications. Surface energy and surface tension, angle of contact, application of surface tension - drops, bubbles and capillary rise. Heat, temperature, thermal expansion; specific heat capacity, calorimetry; change of state, latent heat. Heat transferconduction, convection and radiation, Newton’s law of cooling.

UNIT 8: THERMODYNAMICS Thermal equilibrium, zeroth law of thermodynamics, concept of temperature. Heat, work and internal energy. First law of thermodynamics. Second law of thermodynamics: reversible and irreversible processes. Carnot engine and its efficiency.

UNIT 9: KINETIC THEORY OF GASES Equation of state of a perfect gas, work doneon compressing a gas.Kinetic theory of gases - assumptions, concept of pressure. Kinetic energy and temperature: rms speed of gas molecules; Degrees of freedom, Law of equipartition of energy,applications to specific heat capacities of gases; Mean free path, Avogadro’s number.

UNIT 10: OSCILLATIONS AND WAVES Periodic motion - period, frequency, displacement as a function of time. Periodic functions. Simple harmonic motion (S.H.M.) and its equation; phase; oscillations of a spring -restoring force and force constant; energy in S.H.M. - kinetic and potential energies; Simple pendulum - derivation of expression for its time period; Free, forced and damped oscillations, resonance. Wave motion. Longitudinal and transverse waves, speed of a wave. Displacement relation for a progressive wave. Principle of superposition of waves, reflection of waves, Standing waves in strings and organ pipes, fundamental mode and harmonics, Beats, Doppler effect in sound

UNIT 11: ELECTROSTATICS Electric charges: Conservation of charge, Coulomb’s law-forces between two point charges, forces between multiple charges; superposition principle and continuous charge distribution. Electric field: Electric field due to a point charge, Electric field lines, Electric dipole, Electric field due to a dipole, Torque on a dipole in a uniform electric field. Electric flux, Gauss’s law and its applications to find field due to infinitely long uniformly charged straight wire, uniformly charged infinite plane sheet and uniformly charged thin spherical shell. Electric potential and its calculation for a point charge, electric dipole and system of charges; Equipotential surfaces, Electrical potential energy of a system of two point charges in an electrostatic field. Conductors and insulators, Dielectrics and electric polarization, capacitor, combination of capacitors in series and in parallel, capacitance of a parallel plate capacitor with and without dielectric medium between the plates, Energy stored in a capacitor.

UNIT 12: CURRRENT ELECTRICITY Electric current, Drift velocity, Ohm’s law, Electrical resistance, Resistances of different materials, V-I characteristics of Ohmic and nonohmic conductors, Electrical energy and power, Electrical resistivity, Colour code for resistors; Series and parallel combinations of resistors; Temperature dependence of resistance. Electric Cell and its Internal resistance, potential difference and emf of a cell, combination of cells in series and in parallel. Kirchhoff’s laws and their applications. Wheatstone bridge, Metre bridge. Potentiometer - principle and its applications.

UNIT 13: MAGNETIC EFFECTS OF CURRENT AND MAGNETISM Biot - Savart law and its application to current carrying circular loop. Ampere’s law and its applications to infinitely long current carrying straight wire and solenoid. Force on a moving charge in uniform magnetic and electric fields. Cyclotron. Force on a current-carrying conductor in a uniform magnetic field. Force between two parallel current-carrying conductors-definition of ampere. Torque experienced by a current loop in uniform magnetic field; Moving coil galvanometer, its current sensitivity and conversion to ammeter and voltmeter. Current loop as a magnetic dipole and its magnetic dipole moment. Bar magnet as an equivalent solenoid, magnetic field lines; Earth’s magnetic field and magnetic elements. Para-, dia- and ferro- magnetic substances. Magnetic susceptibility and permeability, Hysteresis, Electromagnets and permanent magnets.

UNIT 14: ELECTROMAGNETIC INDUCTION AND ALTERNATING CURRENTS Electromagnetic induction; Faraday’s law, induced emf and current; Lenz’s Law, Eddy currents. Self and mutual inductance. Alternating currents, peak and rms value of alternating current/ voltage; reactance and impedance; LCR series circuit, resonance; Quality factor, power in AC circuits, wattless current. AC generator and transformer.

UNIT 15: ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES Electromagnetic waves and their characteristics. Transverse nature of electromagnetic waves. Electromagnetic spectrum (radio waves, microwaves, infrared, visible, ultraviolet, Xrays, gamma rays). Applications of e.m. waves.

UNIT 16: OPTICS Reflection and refraction of light at plane and spherical surfaces, mirror formula, Total internal reflection and its applications, Deviation and Dispersion of light by a prism, Lens Formula, Magnification, Power of a Lens, Combination of thin lenses in contact, Microscope and Astronomical Telescope (reflecting and refracting) and their magnifyingpowers. Wave optics: wavefront and Huygens’ principle, Laws of reflection and refraction using Huygen’s principle. Interference, Young’s double slit experiment and expression for fringe width, coherent sources and sustained interference of light. Diffraction due to a single slit, width of central maximum. Resolving power of microscopes and astronomical telescopes, Polarisation, plane polarized light; Brewster’s law, uses of plane polarized light and Polaroids.

UNIT 17: DUAL NATURE OF MATTER ANDRADIATION Dual nature of radiation. Photoelectric effect, Hertz and Lenard’s observations; Einstein’s photoelectric equation; particle nature of light. Matter waves-wave nature of particle, de Broglie relation. Davisson-Germer experiment.

UNIT 18: ATOMS AND NUCLEI Alpha-particle scattering experiment; Rutherford’s model of atom; Bohr model, energy levels, hydrogen spectrum. Composition and size of nucleus, atomic masses, isotopes, isobars; isotones. Radioactivity-alpha, beta and gamma particles/rays and their properties; radioactive decay law. Mass-energy relation, mass defect; binding energy per nucleon and its variation with mass number, nuclear fission and fusion.

UNIT 19: ELECTRONIC DEVICES Semiconductors; semiconductor diode: I-V characteristics in forward and reverse bias; diode as a rectifier; I-V characteristics of LED, photodiode, solar cell and Zener diode; Zener diode as a voltage regulator. Junction transistor, transistor action, characteristics of a transistor; transistor as an amplifier (common emitter configuration) and oscillator. Logic gates (OR, AND, NOT, NAND and NOR). UNIT 20: COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS Propagation of electromagnetic waves in the atmosphere; Sky and space wave propagation, Need for modulation, Amplitude and Frequency Modulation, Bandwidth of signals, Bandwidth of Transmission medium, Basic Elements of a Communication System (Block Diagram only).

First law of thermodynamics - Concept of work, heat internal energy and enthalpy, heat capacity, molar heat capacity; Hess’s law of constant heat summation; Enthalpies of bond dissociation, combustion, formation, atomization, sublimation, phase transition, hydration, ionization and solution. Objective Solving Tricks for GATE exam

Most of time students complain that they couldn’t complete their objective paper; they were struck in one or another problem and wasted a lot of time. Some says that their guess went wrong and marks were deducted due to negative marking, some could not read paper completely and missed some easy questions etc.
I’ll like to stress that objective paper solving is different from subjective paper. You don’t need to study extra for objective questions but practice little bit.
Your guess in solving objective can bring you in difficulty but some intelligent/educated guess can add valuable marks to your score. Most of time objective questions have some hint in the form of multiple choices for the question.
Following can be used as guidelines for solving objective paper:

General Tips
Keep the structure of GATE in mind(25 Quest 1 Mark each, 30 Quest. 2 Marks each with 4 common data questions and 4 Linked Questions).
Plan your time. Allow more time for high point value questions; reserve time at the end to review your work, and for emergencies. I'll suggest following sequence, but you can keep as per your choice: 2 Marks question, Common Data Questions, Linked questions and then single mark questions.
Look the whole test over, skimming the quesitons and developing a general plan for your work. If any immediate thoughts come to you, jot them down in the margin
Start with the section of the test that will yield the most points, but begin working with the easiest questions to gain time for the more difficult ones and to warm up.
Work quickly, check your timing regularly, and adjust your speed when necessary.
Avoid reading into the questions. When you find yourself thinking along the lines of "this is too easy; there must be a trick..." mark the question and move on to another. Interpret questions literally.
Mark key words in every question. To help find the key words, ask yourself WHAT, WHO, WHERE, WHEN, and HOW?

Multiple Choice Specific Tips
Remember in GATE each question will have four choices for the answer, only one is correct and wrong answer carry 33% negative marks
Read the question (without reading choices) very carefully.
Mark important key words and look for special key words like not, but, except , or, nor, always, never, and only . Mark these key words. E.g.
Ques The number of leaf nodes in a rooted tree of n(n>0) nodes, with each node having 0 or 3 children is:

Important words to mark in this are, "n>0" and "or"
The number of leaf nodes in a rooted tree of n(n>0) nodes, with each node having 0 or 3 children is:
Many times we miss words like "or" and whole question in changed.
If you can think of answer before reading choices, keep it in mind before reading choices
Compare with choices and select the best suited answer.
Most of times choices are made to confuse. If there are two or more options that could be the correct answer, compare them to each other to determine the differences between them.
If there is an encompassing answer choice, for example "all of the above", and you are unable to determine that there are at least two correct choices, select the encompassing choice.
Make educated/intelligent guesses - eliminate options any way you can.
Multiple choices can provide direct short cut to get correct answer, especially in numerical problems. For example in the above question

A n/2
B (n-1)/3
C (n-1)/2

Direct solving the problem can be difficult. Use following short cut.
Imagine few such trees and try to get answer from choices. Lets start with tree with one node, i.e. n = 1. In this case obviously number of leaves should be one(same as root). Putting n=1 in above options only option "D" gives 1. But assure your self with more tries. Next possible value of n = 4 with number of leaves = 3. Putting this is multiple choices only "D" satisfies confirming our solution.

How to prepare for GATE 2011

Before the marathon begins, the ‘runner’ puts in months, even years, of effort before he actually runs the race. As the saying goes – get your fundamentals right.

GATE is an exam that tests you on your fundamentals. The questions are generally derivations of the fundamentals. Preparation for GATE is an ongoing process, and is supposed to happen in stages. First get your fundamentals right, and then test yourself on those fundamentals. When you have done this, you should pit yourself with the competition, which means a mock test which would give you a percentile to let you know where you stand amongst competitors. How do you choose which coaching material to go with. This is something that is quite subjective. A coaching material cannot be assessed until you have gone through it. So, you could go by the word of your seniors as to what coaching material they followed to prepare for GATE. Here are some parameters on which you can decide whether you should go for a particular coaching institute, use a particular coaching material, or tests:

1.Material Collection

Syllabus : All the relevant books based on the subject(Divide the books in two groups - (1)
Fundamental and basic concepts (2) Problem oriented
Some books helpful for pre-requisite knowledge on the subject
Some good guide books for GATE
Previous questions papers

2.Keep contact with some expert and GATE experienced persons

3.Study - Syllabus and Previous questions papers

4.Start from the first chapter

read at least 5 books, it will widen your knowledge(if necessary consult with the books for pre-requisite knowledge or with some expert)
Note down the probable concepts(definitions, unit, dimension etc.)
Note down necessary theories, formulae etc
Solve problems as maximum as possible(from text books, Guide books etc)
Think about various tricks in solving problems(if necessary, note it)
Go for series of self tests based on this chapter(take other's help to conduct tests)
Continue the self tests until getting a very good score

5.Solve more and more problems, discover more and more new tricks…

6.Follow the same procedure for the rest chapters

7.Finally, go for self tests based on whole syllabus(take other's help to conduct these tests)

8.Well, So...... on the exam day…you will be at your best, who can stop you?

9.Uniqueness in their study material: Study material provided by the coaching institutes is of little assistance if they are compact copy-paste or rewrite of materials taken from other books.

If the reading of such material doesn’t increase interest and enjoyment then they are not worth it. There are plenty of standard books on each subject by good authors, which can make your study enjoyable during preparation.)

10.Collection of quality books in their library: During the process of theory conceptualization and building application capabilities, you need good books, which can really put your brain on exercise. Check out their library!

11.Flexibility in the Coaching Model: What happens when your pace of learning is much faster or slower than the average? Is there any mechanism by which the model can identify exactly where you need help and provide the same? Is it possible in that coaching model to minimize the wastage of your time?

12.Quality of questions discussed: Number of questions discussed is not that important. By discussing and solving 10-15 conceptual questions on each topic you can build a good application capability. On the other hand solving many tricky non-conceptual questions will simply waste your time.

13. Tests and evaluation model: How is the progress of your preparation tested and analyzed? To what extent the feedback helps in identifying the areas for further work? Here I must say that this is the most crucial part of the preparation. This is the area where most of the students fail due to lack of proper test materials which can help them to build in themselves a real-test-like environment and temperament. Once you are able to choose the correct assistance for your GATE journey, it will be an enjoying and thrilling experience.

14. Simulate actual test environment : This is very important. The actual test happens in a classroom, and is timed. When you take up the test, switch off your cell phone, have a timer which times your tests, and avoid taking any breaks. 15. Take up an all India test series which gives you your percentile and All India Rank : This is very important to avoid the “frog in the pond” syndrome. Students tend to take it easy if they attain a high score in the tests. However, GATE is an exam in which people are selected on their relative scores. So even if you have scored 95% it does not essentially translate to a percentile of 95. You are competing with the best in India, and to get through GATE you should know where you stand to be among the ‘top few’ selected for the interview.

16.Analyze : Analyzing your test results is a very important part of taking the test. If you do not analyze, the test does not add value. You should minutely analyze and define as to where you could have scored more; analyze your accuracy rates in various topics and maintain a topic wise datasheet which lists your performance topic wise for different test papers..

The GATE examination consists of a single paper of 3 hours duration. The question paper consists of only objective type questions. Each question will have four choices for the answer. Only one choice is correct.

Question Papers bearing the codes : AE, AG, AR, BT, CE, CH, CS, CY, EC, EE, IN, MA, ME, MN, MT, PH, PI and TF

Q.1 to Q.25: Will carry one mark each (sub-total 25 marks). 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Q.26 to Q.55: Will carry two marks each (sub-total 60 marks) 2/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Q.48 through Q.51 (2 pairs) will be common data questions. Each question will carry two marks 2/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Question pairs (Q.52, Q.53) and (Q.54, Q.55) will be linked answer questions.
- The answer to the second question of the last two pairs will depend on the answer to the first question of the pair.
- If the first question in the linked pair is wrongly answered or is un-attempted, then the answer to the second question in the pair will not be evaluated. Each question will carry two marks
- There will be negative marks only for wrong answer to the first question of the linked answer question pair i.e. for Q.52 and Q.54, 2/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. There is no negative marking for Q.53 and Q.55.
Q.56 to Q.60 : From General Aptitude (GA) will carry one mark each (sub-total 5 marks). 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Q. When and why did you decide to go for M.Tech.? A: I was more or less decided that GATE is my goal by the end of the first year. My parents were always very encouraging and optimistic, so when I couldn't clear JEE, they said, "Beta, peechhe mud kar nahi dekhte, agar IIT express JEE station par chhut gayi hai, to daud kar use GATE station par pakad lo. Also, I was not very happy with the college education system. I am academically oriented and have been brought up in a conducive environment, so higher studies was like a natural choice for me. Q. When did you start preparing for GATE in full swing? A: I was regular with my college courses, but 5th sem ke bad winter break (whole December) aur phir exam tak zor se padhi thi. Oh, by the way, I appeared for GATE in 3rd year only, and when I got a good rank, so I didn't appear the last year (luck hamesha sath nahi deta :) ) Q. How many hours a day on an average did you devote to GATE preparation in this period? A: 5-6 hrs regularly. Q. What was your mode of preparation? A: Self-study + I had got test papers and subject tests of GATEForum from my friend (that was really useful). Q. Did the college curriculum interfere with GATE preparation? If yes, how did you manage it? A: Never, I utilized all the time in my college, either in attending the relevant courses or enjoying with friends (that's too an important aspect). In fact, I used to get distressed on the days when college was off. I took leave from college only on saturday before the exam. My grades were not affected, if that is the parameter. Q. Did you appear for GATE in your pre-final year? Do you think it's a good idea to do so? A: Yes, as I said. And I do think its a good idea. In my case, I knew my aim and most of the important courses had been covered till then. People generally give it for the sake of experience but maine soch liya tha ki isi bar pure josh se dena hai, taki final year me load na rahe. Aur IISc ki application bhi timely bhari jaa sakti hai. But there is a little problem too, if you have to face interviews the next year/appear for IES then you have to revise everything again. Q. What was your way of studying/ what should be the way of studying? A: I used to study the relevant topics from GATE syllabus from standard books (mostly which had been referred in our regular courses), then I used to attempt the questions from GATEForum/Schaum series. After every topic I used to ask myself "Clear to you?", if not I would read other books, trouble my teachers, friends, etc. until I got satisfied. Also, a very important thing- my dear notebook. I used to note down all important points, tricks, formulae, etc in that. The thing is when you read a topic and attempt Qs, it seems easy but right before the exam everything seems to jumble. The things that you would have skimmed across vaporize. Phir Karn wali halat ho jaati hai, 'aata to tha par time par yaad nahi aaya.' So, I would insist do maintain a notebook, keep updating and revise it like a prayer every day. Q. What would you suggest about the last days say, one week preparation? A: Revised my notebook, did time bound question papers (9-12). Relaxed on the last day – cooked, played badminton, etc. Last day relaxation is important, its kind of fasting taaki jab exam dene jaayo to Qs par aise toot pado jaise bhooke sher ke samne khana rakh diya ho. Q. Having so many options, why did you choose IIT-Kanpur? A: Another worth mentioning thing-GATE scores went very high in 2009, and my score/rank didn't seem so good in that scenario (when I actually applied for admissions). Thoda baasi ho gaya tha. Anyway, I got a call for interview for PhD in IISc, I was not so motivated for PhD, so I didn't go. I applied to signal processing and communication in: (i)IIT, Kanpur: Got interview call- selected (ii)IIT, Delhi: Got interview call- selected (iii)IIT, Bombay: Got interview call, didn't wait for results, I had already decided for IITK. Mera IITB ka interview experience bahot acchha tha, professors were so nice and knowledgeable. When I consulted many people regarding which institute to choose, the moral of the story was agar acchhe se padh ke degree leni hai to IITK jao, but academics tough rahegi. Plus, I was so fascinated by the promptness and neatness with which IITK had organized and managed everything, I had to come here. Q. Are you satisfied with your decision? A: Oh, IITK is like heaven to me. Q. How should one choose the institute? A: Well frankly, maine faculty profile, etc. itni search nahi kari thi, I just kind of assumed that all IITs are equivalent and then worked on my instincts, because at that time I was not sure about my areas of interest. But, I don't think that should be the case. One should be clear about what one wants to do, must acquire enough knowledge about that from net, from seniors/well wishers/people who are in your field, GATE counsellor and then decide. That's before the decision, after deciding you must have faith in that and consider it to be the best decision you could have made in that situation. Q. Had you covered all the topics in GATE syllabus? A: Yes, almost. Antenna and DSP were not covered in college by then, but I had done the basic formulae of those (whatever I analyzed are important for GATE) e.g. the properties of antennae- directivity, radiation resistance,…………… similarly convolution, Fourier Transform, FFT in DSP. Q. Who should do an MTech? A: One must have an academic orientation; otherwise one will find oneself at sea. BTech me idea to ho hi jaata hai, whether its your cup of tea or not. BTech is about breadth, MTech, PhD are about depth, if you are willing to know something in and out, go for higher studies. Q. How would you compare M.Tech from IIT against Post-graduation from abroad? A: Hmm…… that tempts me to tell another story. I had taken GRE in my final year. People had suggested to me that IITs are far better than any low-ranking university, so I had applied to only 5-6 major universities in US. I had decided that I would go there only if financial aid is provided. I took this venture only because I had secured my admission to IITs. However, in the process I also realized that going abroad from a private engineering college is a big leap, at least for me; personal opinions can vary. Thankfully, I landed here. Q. Any other message? A: A human has got immense potential; the only thing is recognize yourself.

They’ll first ask your area of interest. Depending on that they’ll ask queations on that field and related fields. Nevertheless, prepare for the whole syllabus.

The counseling for Engineering and Architecture has been postponed indefinitely. The exact date will be announced in due course. The postponement is due to non-availability of seat matrix which is yet to be finalized by Govt. of Karnataka. Since a number of Engineering Colleges have not yet received the approval of AICTE, it has not been possible to finalize the seat matrix.
The inconvenience caused to aspiring candidates and their parents could not be avoided since the circumstances were beyond the control of COMEDK. The inconvenience caused is regretted.

The Counselling shall be conducted in two phases. The 1st phase Counselling of WBJEE – 2010 ( upto WBJEE rank :
Gen – 60000, SC – 6220, ST – 630, PC – 396) and AIEEE – 2010 ( upto All India Overall rank 500000) rank holders is scheduled to commence w.e.f. 03.07.2010 (Saturday) and is likely to continue up to 20.07.2010 at Yuba Bharati Krirangan ( Salt Lake Stadium), Salt Lake, Kolkata – 700 098.
The 2nd phase of Counselling for wait listed candidates of the 1st phase of Counselling only is likely to take place from 30.07.2010 to 01.08.2010 at the same venue.
Rules for getting wait listed ( for WBJEE – 2010 rank holders only)
A candidate reporting at the 1st phase of Counselling seeking allotment of seat shall have the option to register himself / herself as a wait listed candidate for 2nd phase of Counselling, in case he/she does not accept the allotment of any seat in any
College available to him / her as per merit during the 1st phase of Counselling. Such option will have to be exercised at the time of Counselling itself.

Now a days, AIEMD is completely engage in crickt, there are two reason one is IPL and other is entracollege cricket match. ya friends this is time of cricket , enjoy it within field and outside form the field.
i just say about one match which was played yesterday between 3rd year ECE and 3rd year EE team, that match won by 3rd year EE tean.
EE team take batting frist and manage to make 96 total in 16 over. ECE not able to get this run. the only one player play well that is ravi . All other player are just going and coming .

Chartered Accountancy Course Information

Chartered Accountancy is a profession which comes in the top options in India because of the huge growing demand and practical exposure it needs. The areas which are dealt in this profession are taxation, corporate finance, project evaluation, business & corporate low, auditing, accounting practice. There are thousands of students who aim to become a professional chartered accountant every but a very few number of students pass out this exam series which is less than 1% of the total entrants.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India [ICAI] is a accountancy body whose headoffice is located in New Delhi and five regional councils located in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi & Kanpur and 117 branches all over the country. The ICAI institute has 18 chapters located at Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Botswana, Doha, Dubai, Indonesia, Jeddah, Kuwait, London, Melbourne, Nairobi, Nigeria, Port Moresby, Riyadh,
Saudi Arabia, Sydney, Toronto and Zambia which handles the students courses, examinations and complete procedures.

Requirements Steps to become a CA :

Once you pass out your Class 10th examinations from a school which is recognized by the central government you need to Enrol with the Institute for Common Proficiency Test.
After completing the Class 12 ie Senior Secondary Examinations the student should appear for Common Proficiency Test which is held twice a year ie june & december though the exam dates keep changing.
Join PCC, articled training with a certified Chartered Accountant and register for a 100 Hours Information Technology Training[ITT] with listed institutes like NIIT, Aptech etc after passing CPT & 10+2 Exams.
The Student should complete the 100 Hours ITT Course within 3 months of time which is generally a 25days program based on 4 hours/day schedule with the computer institute and its useful for learning computer based auditing and related computer course.
Next the CA Student has to appear for PCE Exam[Professional Competence Examination] if he has worked as a article clerk with a CA for a period of 15 months minimum 3months prior to the exam month and also has to have completed the 100 Hours computer training course. Note that 8 months of audit training is equally treated as 6 months of articled training as per the requirement.
Next the student has to join the CA Final course after passing the above mentioned PCE and while registering collect study materials and start the preperation for final CA Exams. He should also complete General Management and Communication Skills Course during the last 12 months of articled trianing and should also have completed 3.5 years articled training.
Appear for the final CA Exam when the practical training is completed. Pass the final exam and complete the General Management and Communication Skills Course[GMCS]

After the completion of all the above mentioned steps , the student would be called Associate Chartered Accountant[ACA] because he is in the starting stage and after professional experiance he would become Fellows Chartered Accountant[FCA] after which he is eligible to hold a certificate for public practice.
